You can participate in any in-person saleroom auction once you have created a Goupil & Cie’s online account. You can then participate in the saleroom auction either online from the comfort of your home or attend the in-person saleroom auction by obtaining your paddle at the auction. Please remember to bring your valid passport or government official ID to obtain your paddle at the auction.

If you are unable to create an account ahead of time, you will need to bring the following documents to create an account with us and obtain your paddle.

For individuals

1. A valid copy of your passport or government issued ID
2. Proof of residential address dated within three months (ie. bank statement or utility bill)
3. A valid credit card

For corporations, you will need the following formal documents to upload for verification:

1. A valid copy of the company’s incorporation
2. The valid registered office and business address
3. The company directors
4. The shareholders and any ultimate beneficial owners
5. Authorization for individual to bid on behalf of the company
6. A valid copy of the passport or government issued ID of the individual with authorization to bid

Please kindly note that a financial reference or deposit may be requested as a precondition to bid. Only a pre-authorization will be made on your credit card of 1 unit of your local currency to validate the credit card which will be refunded within 5 business days. In case of a successful bid, your credit card will not be automatically charged. Please refer to “Overview” under the section “How to Buy” for payment details.
